Streams of Joy Daily Devotional 24 November 2021
TOPIC: Mercy for Perfection
FOCUS: “And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.” (Judges 6: 1)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord delivered them into the hands of Midian for seven years. The children of Israel made mistakes, and their mistakes made room for their enemies to subdue them, and that circumstance remained for seven years. Seven is famously known as the number of perfection. So both their mistakes and their enemies brought them to the place of perfection.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your mistakes are about to take you to the place of perfection. Every mistake of your life will become a raw material for your next level. You may not have handled your matters rightly, but God is turning it around and making the story of your life more interesting. God is using the same things that should work against you and disqualify you, to usher you into the place of your perfection and establishment.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: every battle on your way is a raw material for your next level. The conspiracies of men against you will position you on your high places. The roadblocks that have been set on your pathway will position you for more unhindered advancement. The wickedness of men against you will attract the mercies of God towards you for a greater rising. The enemies of your destiny will become errand boys for your next level.
The same battles that you thought would finish you off will turn around and lift you higher. The same things that should make you go under will turn around and make you go higher. The same errors that should have put you out of circulation will become a platform for God’s mercies to work in your favour. What men meant for evil against you will work in your favour. Your battles will work out perfect testimonies in your favour.
For your shame and battles, you will have a double portion. For every setback you inflicted on yourself, the mercies of God will speak for you.
Isaiah 49: 25 says: “But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.”
DECLARATION: My mistakes and errors will bring me to the place of perfection, in Jesus’ name!
