TOPIC: The Godhead – Father, Son, And Holy Spirit

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

In today’s verse we see that God is three in one, a trinity. The trinity has always been there, working for the good of the Body of Christ, in harmony. We have God the Father, the I AM.  He is the One who breathed life into the nostrils of Adam, and the One who spoke everything into existence.

He is the One who rained down fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah.  He is the One who opened Sara’s womb and made from her a nation. He is the One who heard the outcry of the Israelites in the hands of their tormentors and preserved Moses’ life to deliver them, and the One who appeared as fire in the burning bush, without consuming the bush.

He parted the Red Sea and made a way for the children of Israel to walk through it. He helped David slay a giant, and He put David on the throne. He won battles for the children of Israel. He made the walls of Jericho fall down at the blast of the rams’ horns and the marching of the Israelites. He blessed Ruth with a Boaz. He shut the lions’ mouths for Daniel. He is the One who favoured queen Esther before the king and stopped the evil plot of the destruction of the Jewish people.

He did not withhold even His only begotten Son, and He entrusted a virgin with the Saviour of the world.

We have God the Son. He is the One who was born in a manger, who is the light of the world, the Prince of peace. By Him all things are possible. He walked on the water and called Simon Peter to walk on the water as well. He spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well and transformed her life. He is the One who said, “Untie Lazarus”. He was mocked, and His arms were pierced by nails on the cross. He is the One who had no sin and yet became sin for me, the One with a crown of thorns on His head.

Death could not hold Him. He takes away the sin of the world. He has the power to say, “Your sins are forgiven.” At the mention of His name, every knee shall bow. He is coming back again. He is living in us and us in Him. He still does miracles. By His stripes we are healed. He is the one who sets the captive free. He is Immanuel, God with us. He is preparing a place for us, so where He is, we can also be, forever with Him.

We have God the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, the One who comforts, the One who is our counsellor and our helper, and the One who convicts us of sin. He is the One who empowers, the One who help us to cry, “Abba Father”, and the One who guides into all truth. He helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us when we do not know what we ought to pray for.

Praise be to the Godhead!

PRAYER: All glory and honour to You, Father God, to my Saviour Jesus Christ and to the Holy Spirit, living in me. God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, You work in perfect unity and harmony with each other. Help me, Lord, to be in unity and harmony with myself and with my brothers and sisters in the Lord. Amen.
