Offs wakes us up with a new track titled ‘Sunday Morning’ featuring Ayooluwa!
‘Sunday Morning’ pays homage to Offs’ Nigerian roots as she fuses both Yoruba and English. This track catches a similar Afrobeats vibe to the single ‘Eagles’ that Offs featured in with IMPRINT Sound.
Based off Matthew 28, this song reverences the power of Jesus’ resurrection, which is not limited to just to Easter, but impacts us all year round! This song is so timely especially as lockdown has been lifted in England. It celebrates the new normal as well as bringing enjoyment and vibrancy to the last few weeks of summer.
Offs states “I wrote this song on the train after Easter. I know that Jesus rose again but I wanted to reaffirm it in some way so I read Matthew 28 again. I thought that the best way to keep Jesus alive in my heart is to make the Bible verses into a catchy song!”
Offs teamed up with TBabz, a Nigerian producer, and with fellow IMPRINT Sound artist Ayooluwa, whose flavours on the track brought that pure Nigerian vibe she was going for.
