MFM Daily Devotional April 17, 2022 MESSAGE

Having seen the extent of God’s love in giving us His only begotten Son (John 3:16), who ended up laying His life for us, it is amazing to know that we stand to enjoy many benefits through this unique death and perfect sacrifice. As the beloved of God, it will be good for you and me to reach out for these benefits and enjoy them to the best.

The death of sinless Jesus for sinners is a great evidence of the Agape love! This perfect sacrifice has opened for us the door of renewed relationship with God. Jesus Christ Himself called us “friends”, for the sake of whom He could freely lay down His life and pick it up again (John 15:13). His Blood, through His death, cleanses and purifies us from our sins, having satisfied the wrath of God against us; the price of our sins has been fully paid (Ephesians 5:12; Hebrews 9:14). What a relief! Immeasurable benefits through this perfect sacrifice that was ever made!

Here, we are offered grace and mercy, according to Romans 5:8, and through His death we are made righteous. 2 Corinthians 5:12 affirms that we are no longer seen in the filthiness of our sins but cloaked in His righteousness and the perfect life of Christ in us. This has made us to attain a privileged position of sonship through which we can also cry, Abba Father! We can now live a new life by faith and declare, like the Apostle Paul in Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I that live but Christ who lives in me…..”

Beloved, aren’t we blessed to be partakers of the above blessings and benefits from the death of Christ? As through a man (Adam), death came into the world, through another man, Jesus, we receive eternal life. It would be wise and of eternal gain if you would do God’s will with all sincerity and be found faithful enough to claim all these blessings and enjoy the grace and mercy of God.
