Joy is a component of the fruit of the Spirit and as Christians, we should cultivate and manifest it, even as we seek to achieve the full stature in Christ. (Gal. 5:22). God is delighted to see us in joyful situations regardless of contrary circumstances. Paul was in prison when he wrote to encourage Philippian Christians to rejoice. Joy manifests at different levels of magnitude and expression.
The Bible talks about an overflowing kind of joy and also about the fullness of joy which we receive when our joy comes in contact with the joy of the Lord. The Bible also talks of great joy, which the people of Samaria experienced at their encounter with the Good news of salvation through Phillip in Acts 8. There is unspeakable joy as stated in 1 Peter 1:7-9, the kind that goes beyond human explanation. Beloved, the joy of the Lord does not depend on persons or situations, your social status or your net worth. Many people are wealthy in this world, yet they are most miserable.
The same goes for a poor person who does not have the joy of the Lord, he is a double misery and a misfortune. But we know that having Christ equals having all, being content in all things. This is the joy we are talking about! The Bible calls it contentment which is a great gain in God’s sight. It is Christ in you the hope of glory. Joy makes you to bubble with life.
That is your spiritual energy. It brings health to your bones, while sorrow and bitterness bring rottenness. A joyful person would manifest the peace of God in his life, love others as himself, be a kind, gentle and compassionate person. A bearer of God’s kind of joy is an embodiment of Christlikeness in all areas of life, an ambassador of God’s kingdom, someone who manifests His glory and undiluted power. Joy will draw men into God’s kingdom through you because they desire to be, and live like you, a joyful lifestyle!
Beloved, let your life follow the pattern of heaven; be joyful! God delights in the well-being of His children and loves to see them live joyful and fulfilled life.

MORNING
1. Overflowing joy of the Lord, possess my life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Jesus Christ, the Source of my Joy, fill me with Your fullness, in the name of Jesus.
3. Joy that is contagious, envelop me now, in the name of Jesus.

4. Joy that swallows troubles and afflictions, envelop my life, in the name of Jesus.
5. Enemies of my full-scale laughter, be baptized with unlimited sorrow, in the name of Jesus.
6. I receive the fullness of joy in God’s presence all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. O God, arise and increase my joy, no matter the situation around me, in the name of Jesus.
