TOPIC: From Mourning to Dancing

MFM Daily Devotional 3 May 2023 MESSAGE
The Bible tells us that there is a time for every event under heaven. There is the time to weep and the time to laugh, the time to mourn and dance (Ecclesiastes 3:1-4).
Though we live in a fallen world where we experience pain and disappointment, there are times when mourning is appropriate. Yet we can easily become absorbed in the emotions of the moment and wallow in sadness. We can become saturated with anger, bitterness, fear or worry.
When we think about God’s faithfulness over the years, we know that He is willing and able to turn our grief to dancing once again. David faced many problems and confronted many enemies. He battled opposition and discouragement. He felt dismayed and he knew how it felt when God hid His face. He discovered that God could change his circumstances. He could turn the moments of mourning into times of dancing, lift the darkness and replace it with light and change hopelessness into hope.
Everything can change when you commit your situation to God. He can give you victory, no matter the issue you face, no matter what adversaries and obstacles you face, no matter what is going on in the world, and no matter how hopeless things may appear to your natural mind. Instead of being worried and afraid, just trust in the Lord. He can tum around any situation.
In Luke 1:37, the Bible affirms that nothing is impossible with our all-powerful God. At the age of 90, He turned Sarah’s mourning to dancing by enabling her to conceive and give birth to Isaac (Laughter). In Luke 7:12-16, Jesus encountered the widow of Nain in her mourning state, raised her dead son to life and the entire city moved from mourning to rejoicing.
Beloved, I decree that every situation or challenge that has been giving you pain and sorrow shall expire today, in the name of Jesus. The God that answers by fire shall arise now and turn your sorrow to joy and your mourning to dancing. I usher you into a new season of unending and unalloyed joy, in the name of Jesus.
As you make God’s word to dwell richly in you and give it a place of priority in your life this year, your testimonies shall be ear-tingling and mind-blowing, in the name of Jesus.

4. Father, fill my heart with joy and confidence, in the name of Jesus.
5. O God, be gracious unto me and help me, in the name of Jesus.
6. O God, change, renew and revive me, in the name of Jesus.
