TOPIC: The Spiritual War We Must Fight

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

⁴ (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

⁵ Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

⁶ And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

MFM Daily Devotional 3 December 2024 MESSAGE

In these last days, believers cannot afford to ignore or remain ignorant of spiritual warfare. Beloved, there are battles to fight! Until we begin to fight and make use of strange weapons, strange battles of life may never be won. We cannot overcome wicked powers without going to the armoury of the Almighty to bring out deadly weapons that will return evil arrows to their senders, with speed and terrible aggression.

There are terrible dangers in this era. Some powers have swallowed the entire members of families in one day. Some demonic agents have caused the death of hundreds of innocent people in just one day. In some families, witchcraft powers have placed embargoes on everyone. In some communities, people are being eaten alive by wicked powers.

However, our Lord Jesus has made adequate provision for us to fight strange battles and win them. Today’s Bible passage educates us on the potency of spiritual weapons. Beloved, begin to pull down strongholds mounted against you. Cast down evil imaginations against you in Jesus’ name. Do not show the enemies mercy. Cast them down!

Let me share with you some hard facts about life and spiritual warfare. The first is that you must either fight or perish. If you don’t fight, you will get killed. Life is a battleground and not a playground. The second is that it is better to be offensive than to be defensive. Attack is the best form of defence. Use the spiritual weapons at your disposal as a believer to wage war against the enemies of your soul.

Third, if you are truly a believer, be rest assured that you are fighting on the Lord’s side and your victory is sure. Finally, I want to affirm to you that the position of the Bible is clear: those who touch you touch the apple of God’s eyes. The Bible also affirms that no man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who gave Himself for you. My prayer is that you will surely be victorious, in Jesus’ name.

MORNING
1. I will not die a casualty in life’s battlefield. I am more than a conqueror, in the name of Jesus.
2. I will not faint in the day of battle, in the name of Jesus.
3. I receive the power to rule amid my enemies, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. I claim the victory of the Cross and the blessings of Calvary, in the name of Jesus.
5. I cast down evil imaginations against me, in the name of Jesus.
6. I pull down satanic strongholds, in the name of Jesus.
7. I put on the whole armour of God and launch the offensive against the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
