TOPIC: Handling Family Troubles (I)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 136; Psalms 137; Hebrews 1; Hebrews 2
FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 John 4:11-21
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

MFM Daily Devotional 26 July 2024 MESSAGE
In our devotional today, we will look at biblical ways to solve family problems. The best way to go about resolving family troubles and achieving results is through the word of God. The solution to every family problem can be found in the word of God. The word of God helps us to handle family troubles in a godly way.
For any family to actually fulfil God’s purpose, God Himself must be involved. The Bible says in Daniel 11: 32 that the people that do know their God shall first be strong and then shall do exploits. It means that without God, no family can be strong to withstand the onslaught of the enemy against it, whether it is coming from the foundation, environment, or otherwise, let alone do exploits.
There is a fierce war against families from the pit of hell. Any family that does not seek God to know Him and take on the enemy by His power will be finished.

To build a strong relationship with God, you must be born again. The family must surrender totally to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Chief Cornerstone on which every godly family is firmly rooted.
Also, to fight effectively as a family, there must be unity among brethren. And to promote unity, there must be love. Love conquers all. Ecclesiastes 9:9 says that a man should live joyfully with his wife whom he loves. Where love reigns, there are no arguments. 1 John 4:20-21 says, “If a man says, I love God and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment has we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”
