Today, we shall conclude this very important topic, “The Power of Prayer” We told you in the last two days. how Jacob ran from home, from Laban and when he had his back to the wall, he cried unto God in a wrestling match of one night and everything about him changed (Genesis 32:24-28). God will change your story, in Jesus’ name.

There is no problem, sickness or situation that prayer cannot change. Prayer is the force that moves God’s hand and it is the fastest vehicle you can use when you need a miracle. Men started to call upon God right from the days of Enos, Adam’s grandson. Genesis 4:26 says, “And to Seth, to him also was born a son; and he called his name Enos; then began men to all upon the name of the Lord.”

What is prayer? Prayer is the staff to walk with God. Prayer is the key to unlock the mysteries of heaven for your life. Prayer is what makes God to act on behalf of men. Beloved, Jacob wrestled with the angel of the Lord and he had all his debts cancelled. He encountered God and his name, Jacob, which means a deceiver was changed to Israel which means “he struggles with God”. Christ’s followers are sometimes called the Israel of God (Galatians 6:16) which means the God-strugglers. God does not want His people to be passive, but to actively pursue His blessing and grace (Matthew 5: 6; 6:33).

Dear reader, prayer can bring the dead back to life. Prayer can give sight to the blind and strength to the lame. Mark 7:37 affirms this, “And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well He maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.” Beloved, if you want to experience the power of prayer, you must give your life to God. He wants you to call upon Him.
