BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Jeremiah 38-40:1-6; 1 Tim. 3; Psalm 119:57-64

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 13: 32-37
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

MFM Daily Devotional 18 October 2022 MESSAGE

From our Fire Scripture, we see Jesus’ words to His disciples: “Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” (Mark 13: 35-37).

Christians are expected to heed carefully to these instructions. If we do not watch with the eyes of the spirit, we would pray amiss and miss the rapture. These times calls for rugged and stubborn faith to overcome the seducing spirits that have crept into the church unnoticed. Such seducing spirits are; distractions, compromise, procrastination, too busy for God, prayerlessness, spiritual dryness, lack of discernment, laziness, secret sins, fatigue and demonic tiredness etc.

Many are victims of these wicked spirits that sap life and strength out of believers on a daily basis. The only way to wage war against these spirits is to WATCH and PRAY. These are the last days where the love of many have waxed cold. All the biblical prophecies are gradually manifesting one after the other.

Since the pandemic, many have not resumed attending church services talk less of their duties in church. Before Jesus was crucified, He told some of His disciples to pray with Him for at least an hour but they slept off.

Beloved, we need to ask God for the Spirit of prayer and sharp discernment so that we would not fall prey of the devices of the wicked one in these end times. Many that used to be on fire are now ice blocks and they do not even want anyone to talk to them. Many hearts have been seared with hot iron; they commit sin without any remorse.

Dear reader of this devotional, have you examined yourself lately through the eyes of God’s word and Spirit? Do you live with the consciousness of heaven? Are you prepared for the Master’s return? Are you a victim of the spirits of the end time or a victor? If you are a victim, it is not too late to rise up and adjust your ways now; and if you are a victor, remain as such. The Lord will empower us to finish well and strong, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
