TOPIC: You Shall Not Be Barren (III)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ex 32:1-32:28; Matthew 26:69-27:14; Ps 33:1-11; Pr 8:33-36

FIRE SCRIPTURE: John 15:1-11(KJV)
15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

MFM Daily Devotional 11 February 2025 Message

In our memory verse today, we see our Lord Jesus Christ stating the difference between Him and the thief. Who is the thief? The devil. The thief comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. It is clear from that Scripture that the sole aim of the devil is to render desolate. Beloved, fruitfulness, and increase depend solely upon the blessing of God.

Deuteronomy 8:18 says, “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” All powers belong to the Almighty God, including the power of increase and fruitfulness.

In 1 Chronicles 26:5, we see Obededom who later had eight sons, for God blessed him. Therefore, to remain unfruitful is a sign of the lack of God’s grace. It is also a proof that such a life is cut off from the true vine. Such a person’s trust and confidence are not in the living God, but on someone or something else.

There is a need for self-examination now, especially if you discover that you have been experiencing famine in your life. You need to establish where you stand. Are you on the Lord’s side or the side of the devil? In the same John 10:9, Jesus, still speaking, said something profound which many believers gloss over. He said, “I am the door: by me, if any man enters in, he shall be saved and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” Here, our Lord Jesus stated it categorically that He is the only door through which men can enter and find salvation, and then prosperity in their going out and coming in. Every other door leads to pain, sorrow, struggle and famine because the devil has no gift. Beloved, which door do you wish to go through? Make your choice.
