TOPIC: The Wonders of Rods (I)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 30:37-43 
³⁷ And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.

³⁸ And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.

³⁹ And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.

⁴⁰ And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle.

⁴¹ And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.

⁴² But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban’s, and the stronger Jacob’s.

⁴³ And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

MFM Daily Devotional 10 December 2023 MESSAGE

Rods are spiritual instruments that are given to us to war a good warfare and open doors of breakthroughs in our lives. They are symbols of spiritual authority for enforcing our dominion in the Kingdom.

According to today’s fire scripture, the rod of Jacob became an instrument of deliverance from his devious and foxy uncle, Laban. It was also an instrument of signs and wonders for Jacob. When Jacob began to put his rod at the front of the cattle and they kept giving birth to cattle with speckles and spots and Jacob took them away. Very soon. Jacob, Laban’s servant, had more cattle than his master. So, the rod of Jacob is the rod of promotion, the rod of expansion and the rod of enlargement.

Any man or woman with the rod of Jacob will experience explosive growth, expansion and multiplication, even in the land of restriction and austerity. It supernaturally moves people from the minimum to the maximum.

I remember a brother in our church whose fortune was changed by the wonders of the rod of Jacob. He was a foreman and was being appressed by his bosses (the manager and the supervisor) in his place of work. One day, the owner of the company worldwide came to inspect the company.

As he was going round, accompanied by the manager, the supervisor and some foremen, he got to a place in the factory and there was a problem. So he turned to the manager and said, “Well, see what is happening here. Do you know the kind of chemical reaction that could give rise to this and the kind of chemical reaction you can put together and get your product to nullify this one or that one?” The manager said he did not know.

The supervisor too said he did not know. Then he turned to our brother who gave an answer that the owner adjudged to be correct. The owner immediately made our brother the new manager and told the former manager to take the position of a foreman or resign. That was how the brother who came to work that day without a car became a proud owner of a car and a house. I pray that God will place the rod of Jacob in your hand, in the name of Jesus.

MORNING
1. Father, place the rod of Jacob in my hands and transfer the wealth of the gentiles to me, in the name of Jesus.
2. By the rod of Jacob, I receive enlargement, in the name of Jesus.
3. By the rod of Jacob, I receive explosive growth and promotion, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. 0 God, arise and turn my Jacob to Israel, in the name of Jesus.
5. My Father, make me wiser than my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
5. O God, arise and move me from minimum to maximum, in the name of Jesus.
6. O God of Jacob, appear in my situation and do wonders for me, in the name of Jesus.
7. I claim the blessings of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in the name of Jesus.
