Maxine Reyes is back with a new single titled “Rise Above The Storm.” The melody and the instrumentals of this encouraging song will have you bump your head while declaring the powerful lyrics over your life.
Speaking on the song, Maxine shares “Rise Above The Storm” was written while cleaning my kitchen in the middle of a rainstorm. It was during the peak of the pandemic and the election campaigns in 2020.”
“It was in the height of a time when the nation was going through major unrest, aggression, disappointments, murders, and betrayals. Although changes were being made, citizens didn’t see them as satisfactory and some still lost hope.”
“I was sad for us! I turned to what comforts me the most and what helps me to cope. Music and reading the Holy Bible does just that for me. I read Psalm 46:1-3 which says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth gives way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”
We will rise above it all! I wrote the song and shared it with a producer who collaborated with me and my husband in completing it.” – she conclude
