Dread is a relative of fear. The devil tempts us with dread to get us to confess fear instead of faith. But 1 John 4:18 (AMPC) says, There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror!
For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].
Enjoy your day, knowing that God loves you perfectly. Don’t dread the hard things that you must do today, because God is on your side and is ready to help you.
Prayer Starter: God, as hard as it may be, as much as it hurts, help me tackle the things I’m dreading and putting off, amen.
