DCLM Daily Manna 14 March 2024 MESSAGE
When a little girl asked Albert Einstein if scientists pray, he replied in part, “Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifested in the laws of the universe — a spirit vastly superior to man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble.”
In today’s text, Moses paints a picture of God’s miraculous provision and protection for His people, Israel, after delivering them from Egypt. In his song, Moses uses the metaphor “honey out of the rock” to illustrate the miraculous supplies and preservation God gave His people, using unexpected sources. He recounted the provision of manna, water out of the rock, protection against formidable enemies and other countless favours. But instead of staying faithful to God, Israel rebelled against Him.

That miracles exist and are still being manifested today are incontrovertible facts. God knows the needs of his people, and when we pray, He miraculously supplies our needs. However, the secret of unlocking divine resources and moving the hand of God to release the miracles lies in the power of appreciating and praising God. Sadly, many professing Christians turn against God after enjoying unlimited blessings from Him. Such act of ingratitude makes such ungrateful recipients incur His displeasure and block further flow of blessings from Him.
Everyone can find peace, comfort, rest and answers to prayers in Christ because of God’s provisions through the finished work of Jesus on the cross at Calvary. But there is a caveat: you must return to God with thanksgiving and commitment to keep obeying His words.
