“And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate…”

Every worthwhile venture follows a pattern in order to achieve set goals. God’s desire for the maintenance of pattern in service and worship, our lifestyle and daily living fills the whole Scripture. Even in setting up a Tabernacle in the wilderness, God prepared a model to be followed by His servant, Moses.
God has set patterns for all His children to follow in all areas of their lives. The Bible is the ‘treatise’, that reveals the pattern every believer should follow if they must be perfect before the Lord. In every congregation, family and individual’s life, the issue of following God’s pattern as contained in the Bible is imperative. Issues like church administration and pattern of worship, marriage and family life, dressing and social life, and indeed, our day-to-day lifestyle should be guided by God’s approved plans. Doing otherwise will only lead to His disapproval.
Every individual, family and congregation must conduct a thorough self-examination to find out anything that does not conform to God’s pattern. We must ensure every fault discovered is truly and entirely discontinued.
Following God’s unchanging standard attracts His undeniable favour.
