TEXT: GALATIANS 3:6-14
KEY VERSE:
“That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith”
(GALATIANS 3:14).
For generations, faith has remained the main currency of all transactions between God and man. Faith in God made Abraham, a mere mortal, the friend of the immortal God. It connected him to supernatural breakthroughs. In God’s wisdom, He also linked man’s deliverance from sin to faith in the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. Thus, all blessings from God, beginning with salvation, through sanctification and baptism in the Holy Spirit, followed by all other spiritual and physical fortunes from God, can only be accessed through faith in Him and His promises.
The faith God found in Abraham made Him to proclaim that He would bless all men and women who express unsparing faith in His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. Childless at an advanced age, Abraham believed God’s promise that He would bless him with offspring that would number like the stars of heaven. God counted his faith for righteousness and blessed him.
It is amazing that one step of the Lord’s prescription to the sin problem of man, namely faith in His Son, has abolished age-old barriers of mankind. Today the spotless Church of Christ is bound by faith. Our faith in Him has subdued all of man’s destructive cultural, racial and class distinctions and replaced them with allegiance to Jesus.

That fulfils the Scriptures that “if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise”. Man cannot connect to God’s blessings unless he is first connected to His Son through faith in His promises.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Abraham’s blessings come by first seeking Christ.
