June 16, 2022 – Come Into the Ark
Sermon: 1984 – Unsinkable Saints
Pray Over This
“Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.”
Ponder This
In order to be saved from the wrath of God, you have to get on board the good ship of grace. If you don’t get on board, you’re going down. You will not be an unsinkable saint. Genesis 7:1 says, “the Lord said to Noah, ‘Come into the ark, you and all your household.’” But Noah had to take that step of faith. Noah had to come into the ark, and that one step of faith is all it took to put Noah in the ark.
God said to Noah and to Noah’s family, to his sons and his daughters-in-law, and to his wife, “Come into the ark!” And Noah responded in effect, “Just as I am, I come, I come.” Likewise, we must respond to God, “Just as I am without one plea, but that Thy blood was shed for me. Oh, Lamb of God, I come to Thee! I come.”
- How was the ark a picture of God’s grace that would be revealed in Jesus?
- How do we “enter” into Christ as the ark that saves us from God’s wrath?
Practice This
