TOPIC: Set Me As A Seal Upon Thine Heart
READ: Songs Of Solomon 8:5-7 (NKJV)
- Who [is] this coming up from the wilderness, Leaning upon her beloved? I awakened you under the apple tree. There your mother brought you forth; There she [who] bore you brought [you] forth. THE SHULAMITE TO HER BELOVED
- Set me as a seal upon your heart, As a seal upon your arm; For love [is as] strong as death, Jealousy [as] cruel as the grave; Its flames [are] flames of fire, A most vehement flame.
- Many waters cannot quench love, Nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love All the wealth of his house, It would be utterly despised. THE SHULAMITE’s BROTHERS

Love is jealous and demands undivided commitment; love is strong and powerful and burns like a fire. Again, love cannot be drowned by a flood and cannot be purchased with money. These are various attributes of love that should define the experience of anyone who is lost in the love of Christ.
We cannot claim to love Jesus but have little or no time for Him in the place of fellowship. We cannot be in love with Him but flout every of His command. There was never a man in love with Jesus that denied Him the pleasure of an intimate relationship. He demands our all – “and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might” (Deuteronomy 6:5); nothing short of this suffices.
PRAYER: Help me dear Lord to love nothing else but You; let nothing else take Your place in my life. Amen.
