DCLM Daily Manna 24 April 2025 Message

All servants of God are entrusted with His invaluable inheritance. The Lord expects them to handle and keep this gem with utmost care and concern. The gospel is God’s precious heritage. Therefore, believers, especially ministers, must be careful with its content and form.

This was the kernel of Apostle Paul’s admonition to Timothy, whom he addressed as a spiritual son and a servant of God. He urged Timothy not to deviate from the sound doctrine he had been taught. He should hold tightly to it in faith and love of Christ. As to form, those who preach the saving gospel must do so with healthy words that do not reduce nor diminish the graveness of God’s eternal command. Levity and lightness in rendering the saving gospel must be shunned. The biblical pattern, as inspired by the Holy Ghost, must be followed consistently, and preachers must not meander from the Spirit who inspired the Word.

The content of the everlasting gospel must also not be compromised. The more our preaching and teaching are immersed in God’s word, the better for us. We are to “Preach the word…” and only speak “the things which become sound doctrine.”
As children of God, a grave responsibility is bestowed upon us to live and serve according to His word. We must neither diminish nor add to God’s word. To contravene this is to attract divine anger. Be discreet with your word and manner of life as a believer, and be diligent and faithful to God’s word.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Man’s elocution is an empty noise without the quickening power of God’s Spirit.
