TOPIC: YOU’RE THE NEW KING
SCRIPTURE: “And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.” (Joshua 6: 4)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
God instructed Joshua to invite seven priests to join the march around Jericho. These priests were meant to carry seven trumpets made from rams’ horns. Ram’s horns were blown as a sign of coronation. Notice that God had previously told Joshua, that He had given Jericho into his hands, with the king thereof. So Joshua and his men were the new kings, and God ordered that the trumpets be blown. It was the trumpet of new kings on the throne.
Friend, let me announce to you: you are the new king on the throne. Sit on your throne and wear your crown. Rule in the midst of your enemies. Rule in the midst of your adversaries. Take your place at the top in your territory. Pull the strings and take the decisions in your locale. Reign like the king that God has made you. Reign like God’s representative in your territory. Reign as one whom God has given a kingdom.
I announce over your life: you are the new king. In your career, you are the new king. In your business, you are the new king. In your ministry, you are the new king. In your locale, you are the new king. In your finances, you are the new king. In your field of endeavour, you are the new king. In the midst of your rivals and competitors, you are the new king. In the midst of your storms and challenges, you are the new king.
Today, I pray for you: no man will rob you of your throne. No head will wear your crown. Your throne will be too hot for any rival to sit on. Your throne will be too hot for any enemy to hijack. Your throne will be too hot for the gates of hell to overthrow you. Your throne will be too hot for the enemies of your destiny to take your place. As God has announced you as the new king, no power of hell will reverse it. Your kingship is a done deal.

Welcome to your season of endless and unhindered royalty. 1 Peter 2: 9 says: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
