FIRE SCRIPTURE: Ecclesiastes 4:7-12
7 Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.

8 There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.

9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

MFM Daily Devotional 6 February 2025 Message 

God expects a Christian husband and his wife to avail themselves of the power and blessings of the prayer of agreement. He has joined them together to be one and inseparable until death do them part. What a divine binding force! When God is the Only third party in a marriage, then the word of scripture that a three cord cannot be easily broken comes to bear.

The husband and wife are the strongest and most effective prayer partners that would stand in this instance. Not only are they joining hands physically and spiritually, but emotionally they are connected and stand a formidable army that the enemy would be afraid of any time.

However, it is disheartening that many couples, even Christian ones, are far from being in this category. They hardly pray together not to talk of praying in agreement over every issue that concerns their individual lives and family.

My heart goes to all Christian couples today. You must endeavour to stand and stay together in the place of prayer. When one is weak, he or she should strengthen the other. Heaven will respect your voices because you are joined together by God and you share many things beyond the physical. This soulish bond makes you one and a terror to the kingdom of darkness.

That is why he always put a barrier, no matter how flimsy the excuse or reason is, between both of you to prevent this unique and formidably strong partner from agreeing in prayer. Are you ready to break through this barrier and do what God wants? I assure you, your prayers, even agreement prayers, will shake and terrorise the kingdom of darkness, and it will provoke the hand of God into action.

There shall be a divine response to your prayers; there shall be a testimony, in the name of Jesus. Beloved, the prayer of agreement releases God’s power and authority, as Jesus promised in Matthew 18:19-20. Besides, God promises to answer prayers offered in agreement (Matthew 18:19).

Dear reader, no matter what storms, arrows or battles the enemy brings against you, join hands in faith and prayer of agreement with your spouse (if you are married). Heaven will definitely and speedily answer your prayers and give you ear-tingling testimony, in Jesus’ name.

  1. Father Lord, make me and my spouse a praying couple in the name of Jesus.
  2. Powers assigned against our oneness, be destroyed suddenly in the name of Jesus.
  3. In agreement, we unite our voices and minds; 0 God, answer us by fire, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING:

  1. Power of asunder assigned against our marriage and home, we put you asunder now, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Our marriage shall stand and no power shall pull it down, in the name of Jesus.
  3. O God of answered prayers, arise and answer us concerning…….. (slot in what you desire), in the name of Jesus.
  4. My partner and I raise a fresh altar of fire unto God, in the name of Jesus
