MFM Daily Devotional 4 July 2024 MESSAGE
Today, we are looking at the place of faith in getting a solution for a desperate situation. Humans go to the hospital whenever we are sick to see the doctor. He was diagnosed and prescribed medications; we believe he, to use it and got well. The same applies to a passenger in a bus, a ship or a plane, travelling from one destination to the other. In most cases, we don’t know the man behind the wheels, yet we sit calmly and believe we are safe at least, looking forward to our destination.
Dear reader of today’s devotional, how beautiful will it be if you can demonstrate this kind of faith whenever you are before God, no matter the situation? He alone has a permanent solution to all human problems. Frequently, many Christians seek human help and make God the last resort as in today’s Fire Scripture.

This is not to overrule orthodox medicine, or healing though. Not at all! Rather, we are discussing seeking Jesus in faith, believing He can handle all our needs. If the Syrophoenician woman could run to Jesus, humbly surrender and demonstrate great faith, why can’t a believer in Christ do the same?
The woman with the issue of blood, suffered for twelve years, she had visited many physicians and spent all she had, yet no solution to her problem. Culturally, as a result of her uncleanness, she became an outcast, unfit to dwell among the clean ones, an object of shame and disgrace. That was enough to frustrate her and make her believe all hope was lost. One day, she heard about Jesus passing by amidst a large crowd.
She put her faith to work, a desperate faith! She couldn’t be bothered about the crowd, where many would avoid her, because of her deteriorating and repulsive condition. Neither was she discouraged realising how difficult it was to come before Jesus. Rather, she pressed on, having said in her heart, “If only I can touch the hem of his garment.” Who would believe that she could receive her healing by doing just that? Faith made it happen!
Think of this beloved, demonstrate an unshakable faith that says, “I believe this is my last hope and can’t afford to miss this great opportunity……whatever it costs me.” Exhibit desperate faith and win.

1. O God, arise and make impossibilities possible in my life, in the name of Jesus.

7. My cry shall attract heavenly visitation to my life, in the name of Jesus.
