MFM Daily Devotional 31 March 2024 MESSAGE

Yesterday, we stressed the truth that God is counting on us (believers) to be His true ambassadors and exemplary role models to unbelievers and believers alike. We rounded off the discourse by noting emphatically that one significant way to achieve this demand of heaven is to vigorously, deliberately and faithfully practise lifestyle evangelism. That is, our character, conduct, speech, action and ways of life should be so Christlike that people will experience the love and goodness of God through us and decide to serve our God.

Are you a lifestyle evangelist? If you are not, I advise you to become one today. It is written that by their fruits ye shall know them, not by their words. These fruits refer to godly character traits. As a child of God, you are like a tree that brings forth fruits that must abide in the Lord. In this way, others will see Christ in you and know Christ through you.

Consider these scenarios. A born again sister just finished rendering a special number during a church service; many were blessed and souls were lifted. But as soon as she left the church, she was found quarreling with someone few meters away. How do you think a new convert would feel or imagine in his heart?

The story was told of a Christian brother who was fervent in his spiritual activities: a prayer warrior and a teacher of the Word. One day, a former neighbour who just joined the church saw him doing his normal church activities and marvelled, “Could this be the brother who once lived on my street and was labelled a fraudster, but suddenly disappeared? It’s been said of him that he constantly dupes people and escapes to other areas of the city where he cannot be easily found.” As soon as this brother saw his former neighbour, he took the immediate exit and ran away from the church. Why did he do this? His sins had found him out.

Beloved, God wants your life to be magnetic enough to draw souls into His kingdom? Be a true Christian both in private and in the public. Be a godly role model too. Let others see the light in you and follow suit. Jesus is Lord!

7. Holy Spirit, fill me with Your fullness and let my life win souls for You, in the Name of Jesus.
